Shrek

It’s not exactly a walk in the park when you’re green — especially if you’re an affable (if somewhat pungent) ogre named Shrek. Living a peaceful life in his swamp, Shrek is forced to leave his home when a group of fairy tale creatures, exiled from the kingdom of Duloc, take refuge on his land. In order to get his swamp back, Shrek strikes a deal with Lord Farquaad, the tyrannical ruler of Duloc, who promises to remove the unwanted creatures if Shrek rescues Princess Fiona, who is locked away in a tower guarded by a fierce dragon.

Reluctantly embarking on this quest, Shrek is soon joined by an unlikely companion: a talkative, relentlessly cheerful donkey. The two make an odd pair, with Shrek’s gruff demeanor and Donkey’s incessant chatter, but the bond between them grows as they journey through treacherous lands to reach the princess.

Once Shrek and Donkey reach the tower, they discover that Princess Fiona isn’t quite what they expected.
