Gangster Squad

Los Angeles, 1949. Mickey Cohen, a ruthless mob boss from Brooklyn, rules the city with an iron fist. He controls everything from drugs and guns to prostitution, and if he gets his way, he’ll dominate all the gambling operations west of Chicago. Cohen’s power is reinforced by a network of corrupt law enforcement, politicians, and his own personal army of enforcers, making him nearly untouchable. His influence is so overwhelming that even the most hardened and fearless police officers are reluctant to challenge him. But a small, unlikely group of LAPD outsiders led by Sergeant John O’Mara and fellow officer Jerry Wooters is determined to take down Cohen’s criminal empire. Despite being outgunned and outnumbered, they risk everything to bring the mob boss to justice, fighting not only his forces but also the corrupt system that protects him.
