AmeriQua follows the story of Charlie (Bobby Kennedy), a laid-back recent graduate whose wealthy parents decide to cut him off, giving him a $5,000 check and a firm ultimatum to start living independently. Instead of embracing responsibility, Charlie impulsively buys a ticket to Italy. However, his adventure takes a turn when he gets robbed as soon as he arrives.
Left with little, he finds himself in Bologna, where he meets Lele (Lele Gabellone), the self-proclaimed “King of Bologna.” Lele, a charismatic local, introduces Charlie to a world filled with mischief and excitement. He shares a home with his wild friend Ballo (Gianlucca Bazzoli), a scruffy punk, and the ever-energetic Il Pisa (Giuseppe Sanfelice), a frequent visitor of the local nightlife.
As Charlie navigates this vibrant city, Lele mentors him in the art of living life to the fullest—flirting with Italian women, hosting raucous parties, and embracing a carefree spirit. Charlie quickly adapts to this new lifestyle, diving headfirst into the chaos and charm of Bologna. Along the way, he encounters the enchanting Valentina (Alessandra Mastronardi) and the all-American Jessica (Eva Amurri), both of whom challenge his understanding of love and adventure.
Through a series of wild escapades, Charlie learns valuable lessons about independence, friendship, and the consequences of his choices, all while reveling in the exhilarating atmosphere of Italy. The story captures the essence of youthful rebellion and the search for identity against a backdrop of vibrant culture and unforgettable experiences.
