In the autumn of 1986, six friends from Detroit embark on their annual trip to the northern woods for a weekend of deer hunting. What begins as a familiar and much-anticipated tradition soon turns into a nightmarish ordeal when they stumble upon something ancient and malevolent lurking in the forest. As the group sets up camp and prepares for the hunt, an unsettling presence begins to make itself known. Strange occurrences and inexplicable signs raise suspicions, but it isn’t until night falls that the true terror emerges.
The hunters, once eager for a successful trip, quickly find themselves on the run as they become the targets of a mysterious force—something far more deadly and relentless than any deer they’ve ever hunted. As the group is picked off one by one, they must fight for survival against an enemy they cannot see, and whose motives they cannot understand. With the woods closing in around them and their options dwindling, the friends are forced to confront the terrifying reality that they are not the apex predators in this forest.
As panic sets in and trust begins to unravel, they realize that their annual hunting trip has turned into a fight for their very lives. What they thought was just another getaway has instead awakened something far darker—something that will stop at nothing to ensure they never leave the woods alive.
